» MEMEBERSHIP LEVELS

 

The ASEA offers two main membership levels, plus an Associate
and Affiliate membership.

 

Accredited Member:
An individual with current full-time or part-time horse, or horse-related, experience who possesses a sound working knowledge of the horse industry. Individuals with prior horse experience also may qualify. Must complete ASEA Principles of Valuation and ASEA Advanced Principles of Valuation within 1 year in order to maintain ASEA Membership.

 

Senior Appraiser:

An accredited member who has successfully completed ASEA's Professional
Appraisal Course, has met the AQB's Personal Property Appraisal Minimum Qualification Criteria, and is an ASEA member in good standing. Senior Appraisers must also meet the Criteria's continuing education requirements every five years to retain their Senior status.

 

Associate Member:

An individual who does not have the practical experience necessary to qualify as an accredited member, but has the desire to enter the equine appraisal profession, and is committed to attend the ASEA Professional Appraisal Education Courses.

 

Affiliate Member:

A member who is not interested in becoming an appraiser, but has a business-related interest in the appraisal field such as bankers, insurance agents, attorneys, etc.
