ABOUT THE ASSOCIATION
The American Society of Equine Appraisers (ASEA)
is an organization of appraisal professionals and other parties interested
in the appraisal profession. Founded in 1985, the ASEA is the nation's only
appraisal association exclusively for horse appraisers. The ASEA is a division
of the American Society
of Agricultural Appraisers (ASAA) which is comprised
of three divisions:
The American Society of Equine Appraisers
The International Society of Livestock Appraisers
The American Society of Farm Equipment Appraisers
ASEA's mission is to provide educational and organizational
support to ASEA members and to serve the public by producing qualified and
ethical appraisers who are recognized authorities in the horse appraisal
field.
The ASEA is diligent in its efforts to uphold the Uniform Standards of Professional
Appraisal Practice (USPAP). These standards are endorsed and used by professional
real estate and personal property appraisers nationwide.
